Fastening

Fasteners are indispensable and ubiquitous in the building industry. The trends within the building industry towards smaller component thickness and better insulating properties of the materials used, have constantly increased the demands placed on fasteners of all kinds.

We test and evaluate all types of fasteners in any substrate in accordance with the applicable national and international regulations! Our tests can be carried out under the influence of specific environments, temperature or in a normal climate. We only use the most modern, calibrated and monitored measuring technology, which is used by trained specialists. Thus you can rely on the validity of our results.

We have extensive know-how in the production of concrete test specimens and take care of everything in-house, from formwork construction, as well as the production and laying of reinforcement to the placing and post-treatment of the concrete. If required, we can also produce cracked concrete with defined crack widths. ANC-TEC GmbH cooperates with a regional producer and supplier of in-situ concrete and is therefore able to produce concrete bodies highly individually, reliably and quickly.

We always have a large number of standard concrete test specimens available, the strength of which is constantly monitored so that tests can be carried out without delay.

Depending on your goals on the national or international market, we will advise you competently and customer-oriented on the possibilities of marketing your product.

We offer you test reports, e.g. to determine the performance of your product or to submit to a structural engineer. We are also happy to support you in the preparation of an approval in individual cases (ZiE) or in obtaining a general building authority approval (abZ) for the german, or a European Technical Assessment (ETA) for the European market. Contact us for a non-binding consultation!

In April 2019 we successfully completed our accreditation process according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 at the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) with the receipt of our accreditation certificate. The accreditation is valid for the scope specified in the document attachment D-PL-212105-01-00. The accreditation certificate can be viewed on our website, an overview of the fasteners concerned is given below:

  • DIN EN 846-5 - Test methods for ancillary components for masonry - Part 5: Determination of tensile and compressive strength and stiffness of wall anchors (brick pair tests)

  • DIN EN 846-6 - Test methods for ancillary components for masonry - Part 6: Determination of tensile and compressive strength and stiffness of wall anchors (one-sided test)

Parts 5 and 6 of DIN EN 846 specify test methods for wall anchors for use in individual bricks or brick pairs. We test the tensile and compressive strength of your wall anchor in the bricks you have specified in accordance with standards. If you are uncertain about the selection of suitable bricks, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.

  • EAD 330008-03-0601 - Anchor Channels

The EAD (European Assessment Document) describes tests for the assessment of anchor channels in preparation for a European Technical Approval (ETA). In accordance with the standard, we quickly and reliably determine the geometry and the load carrying capacity under static or cyclic tensile and transverse loads.

  • EAD 330076-00-0601 – Metal injection anchors for use in masonry

This EAD 330076-00-0601 specifies the method of testing and evaluating injection or bonded anchors in masonry. It serves as a continuation of the EAD for metallic anchors in concrete and covers the substrates solid masonry, hollow and perforated bricks, as well as aerated concrete. ANC-TEC GmbH is happy to discuss with you the possibilities of testing and evaluating various types of masonry.

  • EAD 330196-01-0604 - Plastic Anchors made of virgin or non-virgin material for fixings of external thermal insulation composite systems with rendering

EAD 330196-01-0604 specifies tests for the evaluation of ETICS anchors in concrete, solid masonry, hollow and perforated bricks and cellular concrete. ANC-TEC GmbH defines a test program according to your requirements and in accordance with the regulations and then determines the load-bearing capacity of its ETICS anchor. This includes, among other things, the tensile strength, various conditionings, repeated loads and various assembly parameters.

  • EAD 330232-01-0601 - Mechanical Fasteners for use in concrete

This EAD comprises subsequently assembled mechanical metal fasteners which are inserted into prefabricated holes perpendicular to the surface in concrete and anchored there by mechanical means, such as friction or mechanical locking. This EAD covers torque-controlled expanding fasteners (e.g. bolt anchors), deformation-controlled expanding fasteners (e.g. impact anchors) as well as undercut fasteners and concrete screws. We carry out tests on your behalf in cracked or non-cracked concrete.

  • EAD 330284-00-0601 - Plastic anchors for multiple use in concrete and masonry for non-structural applications

The five parts of EAD 330196-01-0601 define test methods for plastic anchors for use in normal concrete, solid masonry, hollow and perforated bricks and cellular concrete. On your behalf ANC-TEC GmbH carries out investigations on the tensile and shear strength of plastic anchors, also taking into account edge and corner distances.

  • EAD 330387-00-0601 – Glass fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP) connectors for use in sandwich and element

As one of the first testing laboratories, we have included this guideline in our scope. The EAD 330387-00-0601 specifies the evaluation of plastic reinforced connectors for sandwich elements. With our expertise in the field of plastic reinforced fasteners, we test and evaluate not only the classic glass fiber reinforced ones but also those reinforced with basalt and carbon fibers.

  • EAD 330499-01-0601 - Bonded fasteners for use in concrete

EAD 330499-01-0601 describes tests for the evaluation of composite anchors for use in concrete. Compound anchors are particularly suitable for high loads with only small edge and centre distances. For this reason, this type of fastener is becoming increasingly popular. On your behalf, we determine the load-bearing capacity of your bonded anchor for tensile, transverse and combined loads in cracked or non-cracked concrete.

  • EAD 330747-00-0601 - Fasteners for use in concrete for redundant non-structural systems

EAD 330747-00-0601 describes tests for the evaluation of multiple fasteners in preparation for an European Technical Assessment (ETA). The document deals with force-controlled expanding fasteners (e.g. bolt anchors), force-controlled expanding fasteners (e.g. impact anchors), undercut fasteners, concrete bolts and compound anchors. We determine the required load-bearing capacity of your fastener on your behalf.

  • TR 018 - Assessment of torque-controlled bonded anchors

  • TR 026 - Plate stiffness of plastic anchors for ETICS

  • TR 048 - Details of tests for post-installed fasteners in concrete

  • TR 049 - Post-installed fasteners in concrete under seismic action

The "Technical Reports" (TR) are published by EOTA and can be understood as a supplement to the EADs. They describe some aspects of the examination and assessment in more detail by summarising the existing knowledge and experience of the EOTA committees. The TRs listed above and intended for accreditation by us allow us to evaluate force-controlled expanding composite anchors, to determine the plate stiffness of ETICS anchors, to test retrofitted fasteners in concrete with or without seismic impact.
